First iOS Application

For the first time using Xcode, I made a simple iOS application that displays my name and a button. When pressed, it displays an alert saying “Hello World!” Attached is a link to download the zip file of my application.

Hello World

While still stupendously simple, it is still a functioning iOS app that can be downloaded and used on a wide range of Apple devices including iPhones and iPads. The button and name label was created using the Xcode interface, while the code to make the button display the alert was created in the background using the Swift programming language.

There’s not much too this application, but by following this amazing eBook on AppCoda, I hope to learn even more about Swift and xCode so that I can eventually write a much more complex and entertaining iOS application. Stay tuned for a new iOS project in the coming weeks!
